The Perfumed Remains of the Industrial Era

Here you will find a large selection of photos that were taken especially for milkbar.com.au. They were taken to try and capture some of the rapid changes occurring in Fitzroy. The district is undergoing change partly due to the older manufacturing industries being replaced by apartments of 'knowledge workers'. Fitzroy perhaps typifies a district of the developed world where industrial employment has diminished and knowledge employment has become the norm (all photos taken by Craig Bellamy)
