This is a photo of the oldest tree in the world. It is really a bush or a series of bushes that date back to an original plant that is 15 000 years old. It was discovered by miners about a decade ago and was then handed over to the government. The tree is a Huon Pine that is a native of Tasmania and only grows on the state's west coast. The tree is not open to visit and I won't tell you where it is because I don't want you to go there (photo taken January 2001)
